ZOHANNA D’ANDRIOLO
Zohanna lives in Carpi, in the Sant’Antonio district. Widowed for many years, she carries the weight of a tragedy: the death of her husband, who fell from a tower while working on a construction site. To this loss was added injustice: the owner, instead of taking responsibility, accused him posthumously of negligence.
For Zohanna, this was the sign of an unjust world, capable of striking twice: with grief and with humiliation.
Zohanna embodies female resilience in a world that often crushes widows and the poor. Her story shows that justice may arise not from those in power, but from supportive communities able to offer new opportunities.
Where death had left only emptiness, she rebuilds by weaving straw: from pain, a new beginning.
